Julia’s paintings pull from her experiences and relationships, viewed through an abstract lens. Intrigued by intrapersonal communication and often preoccupied with the "why" behind things, she explores these themes through repetition of shape, color, and movement.

Her process is fluid, and often meditative. She arrives at the canvas guided by intuition, using painting as a way to bypass her instinct to intellectualize, and simply feel.
